Southern Pink Moth

I took this picture of the Southern Pink Moth
(Pyrausta inornatalis) on a hosta. Teeny, teeny,
tiny! About the size of my pinky fingernail.
Supposedly, the caterpillar chows down on
salvia, of which I have several greggi varieties.
But I have never seen it in my garden before but
I probably wasn’t looking close enough. SO cute!
